🖤 MATTE BLACK BATHROOM FITTINGS & FIXTURES: THE DO’S & DON’TS 🖤
I absolutely love matte black in a bathroom… but keeping it looking gorgeous does need a little TLC! ✨
✅ DO: Wipe your matte black fittings and fixtures regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. A quick wipe after use makes a BIG difference.
💧 DO: Try to keep water and soap residue from sitting on the surface — especially if you live in a hard water area.
🧼 DO: Use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner when needed. Less is definitely more!
🚫 DON’T: Use abrasive sponges, scourers or anything that could scratch the finish.
❌ DON’T: Reach for bleach, vinegar, lemon, harsh limescale removers or acidic cleaners. These can damage the finish and leave your beautiful matte black surfaces looking patchy.
🚿 DON’T: Let limescale build up. It’s much easier to prevent it with regular gentle cleaning than try to remove stubborn deposits later!
🖤 MY BIGGEST TIP: A quick daily wipe with a microfibre cloth is your best friend. It takes seconds and helps keep your matte black taps, showers, basins, toilets and other fixtures looking fresh for longer.
Because let’s be honest… matte black + limescale = NOT a good combination! 😂
Save this for your next bathroom clean 🧽🖤
