At Highams we offer different service options, all including an oil and oil filter change.

Keeping on top of oil changes is extremely important for the health and longevity of your engine. As you can see by the picture, thick, sludge like oil can cause overheating, blockages and ultimately engine failure.

Even if your vehicle is not driven often, oil will oxidize and degrade over time meaning servicing is just as important.

Did you know?

✅ You can MOT your car up to 28 days before the due date and still keep the original date of test

✅ If your vehicle fails MOT you have 10 working days to repair the vehicle in order to have a free retest

✅ An MOT tests the road safety and environmental standards of your vehicle. However it does not test the engine, clutch or gearbox condition

✅ An MOT does not replace a service

We always recommend getting your MOT booked in around 1-2 weeks before the due date to prevent being without your vehicle incase of failure.

We have recently had another new 5 tonne 2 post lift installed to accommodate all our LCV’s, vans and motorhomes alongside cars.

Whether it’s for servicing or repairs it allows us to increase efficiency as well as work safely on those bigger vehicles.

It’s that time of year again where we will be closing for 2 weeks so we can enjoy a family holiday.

🔴❗️JOB VACANCY❗️🔴

Due to growth and expansion, we are looking for another motivated technician to join our workshop.

The successful applicant must have experience of working in a busy garage environment, be able to work efficiently and carry out all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing under their own initiative.

Hours of work are 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm Friday.

Full time position available although part time will be considered. Salary discussed based on experience.
