It’s funny…

When I first started Bek’s Cleaning Services, I thought people hired cleaners because they wanted a cleaner house.

Now I know better.

Most of our Oxfordshire clients don’t even mention the polished taps anymore.

Instead they tell us…

“It just feels so much calmer when you’ve been.”

Nobody hires us because they love cleaning…

Some people look at a monthly clean and see a number…Our clients see something completely different.

They see Saturday mornings with their children.

They see walking through the front door without another job waiting.

They see one less thing to think about.

That’s why our clients don’t stay because of the polished taps.

They stay because of how their home makes them feel.

The clean house is lovely…
But it’s never really been the point. 🤍

And then suddenly… your shower decides it’s had enough 🙃

The summer holidays are here… ☀️

Which means the house is fuller.
The washing basket is fuller.
The fridge is emptier.
And the to-do list somehow gets even longer…

Some people book a cleaner because they think they need more time.

But after a few months, they tell us something completely different…

“I didn’t realise how much lighter I would feel.”

It was never just about polished taps or streak-free glass…

It’s about coming home after a busy day and not seeing another job waiting for you.

It’s about saying “yes” to another trip to the park because you don’t have to spend the afternoon cleaning.

It’s about making memories instead of tackling bathrooms.

It’s about having family pop in without that feeling of panic.

It’s about taking one thing off an already never-ending mental load.

That’s the bit people don’t talk about enough.

The clean house is lovely…

BUT this summer, it’s not really about the clean house.
It’s about giving yourself permission to spend less time cleaning… and more time making memories you’ll actually remember. 🤍

We know we’re grafters…
But even grafters have a limit in this heat!! ☀️

Really didn’t think we’d need to post this
again, but with the temperatures rising, we wanted to give a little update…

We’ve powered through this week as much as we possibly can, but cleaning in homes with little ventilation and bathrooms with no windows has become extremely difficult in these temperatures. It’s simply getting too hot for us again.

Our health and safety has to come first, and we want to make sure we’re able to continue providing the high standard of service our clients expect from us.

We will review the situation again next week as we get closer to it and will keep all affected clients updated with any changes.

Honestly…
Please don’t apologise.

I’ve never walked into a home and thought less of the person living in it.

Life gets busy.
Children grow up.
Work gets hectic.
Laundry piles up.

And none of that says anything about who you are.

You know what nobody ever says to me?

“I wish I’d spent more time cleaning.”

But they do wish they’d spent more time making memories.

If I can take one thing off your list so you get a little more time for what matters…

July is officially in full swing… ☀️🤍

Our diaries are absolutely packed with regular cleans, deep cleans, quotes and all the lovely things that keep a small business ticking.

But alongside running Bek’s Cleaning Services, we’re also doing what so many of you are doing too… juggling school leavers, sports days, transition days, end-of-term assemblies and calendars that somehow seem to get busier by the hour.

Two of us are waving children off from primary school this month, which feels like a huge milestone 🥹

Invoices have been sent with upcoming dates, please check them over while we navigate a few summer holiday diary tweaks.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, your kindness and for continuing to support our little business.
It genuinely never goes unnoticed. 🤍

Now… let’s get through July ☀️
