Well… I thought it was finally time I properly introduced myself! 👋🏼
You might know the business, you might have followed me for years, or you might have just discovered Always Sparkling Clean… but how much do you actually know about the woman behind it all? 😂
I’m Amy, founder and owner of Always Sparkling Clean ✨️. I was born in Ascot and have lived in a few different places over the years, but I’ve called Bracknell home since I was 15, so I’ve been part of the local community for 22 years! 🥰
I originally started Always Sparkling Clean back in 2016, long before I had a clue about social media. 😂 In fact, I never really understood it until I discovered Solo Cleaners with Helen Young, and I’m still learning this part! 😆
I started my business because I wanted more flexibility around my family life. I wanted to be able to attend my children’s school events, be there when they needed me, and still do something I genuinely loved.
What I never imagined was that it would grow into something so successful, rewarding and genuinely amazing. ❤️
Before Always Sparkling Clean, I was a Housekeeping Manager at Premier Inn. I absolutely loved the ins and outs of running a hotel, and so much of what I learnt there has stayed with me and helped shape the way I run my own business - from filing and scheduling to risk assessments, COSHH, health & safety, cross-contamination and having the correct protocols in place.
Over the years I’ve also worked in hairdressers, boarding schools, a special needs school, restaurants, care homes (including dementia care) and hotels, and every experience has taught me something different.
I’ve built up knowledge around different surfaces, vacuums, infestations, mould removal and so much more. I’m a bit of a “can-do” person and I’m always learning, researching and perfecting my skills in my spare time.
Because the truth is… cleaning is my passion and my therapy. 😂
I never dreamed I’d make a living from cleaning. I’ve trained in lots of different things over the years, but I’ve realised that perfecting a space is my calling, and I’m bloody good at what I do. 🙌🏼
And honestly, I’ve probably always been this way. 😂
Even when I was younger, I was obsessed with cleaning, organising, routines and everything being just right. My sister used to hate how I’d remake my bed before getting into it… even though it was already made! 🤣 Everything had to be in its place or I couldn’t sleep. 😆
That attention to detail is still very much part of me today.
I’m genuinely passionate about leaving my clients’ homes immaculate, but for me it’s about so much more than cleaning.
It’s about giving people their time back. ❤️
Time to do the things they love.
Time to make memories with their families.
Time to rest.
Time to simply breathe.
I know how precious that time is because I’m a wife, a mum to two daughters (now 19 and 17) and I run a business too.
I never thought running a business was something that would be on the cards for me, but one of the things I’m most proud of is showing my girls that you really can do anything you put your mind to when you have passion, determination and a bloody good work ethic. ❤️
I’m a genuinely caring and non-judgemental person, and I treat every home I clean as if it were my own… probably better! 🙈😂
I’m so grateful that something I originally started to give myself more flexibility has turned into something I’m genuinely passionate about.
Life is precious, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do something I love, while helping other people get more time back to enjoy theirs. ✨️
