Recycle Week runs from 22–28 September 2025 across the UK. The campaign theme this year is “Rescue Me! Recycle”, focusing on everyday items that often get overlooked but can be recycled.
We all can make a difference — small actions add up. Here are some simple tips to help you recycle better this week and beyond:
♻️ Tips to Recycle Smarter
1. Check what can be recycled — items like yoghurt pots, shampoo bottles, aerosols, and toilet roll tubes often end up in general waste, but many councils accept them.
2. Empty, clean, and dry your recycling containers. Even a quick rinse removes food residue, which helps avoid contamination.
3. Keep lids on bottles and flatten cardboard boxes when possible — saves space and helps with processing.
4. Remove plastic films or wrappers that are not accepted. These can clog up recycling machinery.

5 Star Cleaner Wanted – Evening Shifts (High Standards Required)
We are seeking an exceptional cleaner who can deliver the very highest standards of cleanliness and reliability. This is not a standard cleaning role — we need someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to every detail, and can be trusted to maintain a premium venue to a five-star standard.
Shift: 17:00 – 22:00 (afternoon/evening)
Days: 4–5 shifts per week
Location: Site is remote and away from the main street. There is no public transport access — you must have your own reliable transport.
Standards: Extremely high level of detail, presentation and professionalism required at all times. This role requires initiative, consistency, and the ability to work independently.
Reliability: Absolute reliability is essential. We need someone we can count on to be on time, every time, and to complete work to the same outstanding level at each shift.
Pay: £13 – £15 per hour, depending on experience and performance.
