Planning on going to the beach this Summer? ๐ In North Wales, and especially in Eryri, tidal ranges are massive, and can catch you unawares if you are unfamiliar with the area ๐
This is especially good to know on beaches where you can park your car, such as Black Rock Sands.
It's a surprisingly regular occurrence to hear about yet another car that has been swallowed by the tide, no doubt ruining an otherwise wonderful holiday... ๐ญ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
We usually recommend that you download a Tide app before you come away, so you can keep an eye on the water levels when going to the beach ( Note that Tide times change daily, and height changes with the lunar cycle, so they vary day to day, week to week). If you arrive at low tide it can be easy to assume that there is always that much sand at the beach - but don't be fooled!!
The Met Office have now also added tidal info to their app, making it even easier to get this info; helping you to stay safe and dry, no matter where you go โบ๏ธ๐
