Hello lovely customers
I do hope you’re all keeping well?
I just wanted to let people know if they were wondering why we haven’t been since xmas.
I certainly don’t want anyone to think they’ve been missed out.
We are always a week behind after the Xmas break but have been thankful the weather in January has been kind to us.
Then in late January after managing to avoid it for so long I tested positive for covid. Thankfully it was very mild and I have fully recovered. It did of course mean that I had to isolate and Adam my employee couldn’t work either. This I’m sorry to say put us further behind schedule.
We now have these named storms bearing down on us with exceptionally high wind speed making it unsafe to work.
We are of course just following the schedule so will get to the most over due first. This will have a knock on effect though so even if I have been since Xmas your next clean may well be delayed.
If you have any concerns then please don’t hesitate to drop me a text.

Today is a sad day for Towcester window cleaning 😢. Not only is the weather dreadful but I’m also saying goodbye to Lee. Today is his last day after almost 2 years working for me.
Thank you Lee for all your help and support and wishing you every success in the future 👍

Good morning
Following the announcement last night and following the guidelines we are able to continue working. I will be contacting customers as usual when we are coming.

If you would prefer to skip a clean while in lockdown then let me know when I contact you.

We will of course be maintaining social distance at all times. To assist this I’d be grateful to those customers that pay in cash to please put the payment in an old envelope with your name on and leave outside.

Feel free to pop out or open a window and say hello but please let’s maintain distance for everyone’s safety

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

Before that I’d like to thank you all for the kind comments to my previous post. I’d also like to thank all of you who I’ve seen over the last few weeks and the many lovely (socially distanced) chats I’ve had with you. Please be aware if your inside and wave at me I can’t always see you so please forgive me if I didn’t wave back.

I’m still working through the back log so if I haven’t got to you yet I do offer my sincere apologies. I am having to just work through the rota in order as it is the only way to treat all my customers fairly.

Im pleased to say my colleague Lee will be returning this week which will obviously help greatly with the back log.

Im going to start posting cards again but if you would like me not to post at your home please let me know when I text.
If your paying in cash please continue to leave it in an envelope on a rear window sill. If you can put your name on it I’d be grateful and the correct amount please as they are not opened for a few days so can’t give change.

I’m sanitising hands before I start at each house and again when I pack away before wiping down your sills. I am sanitising gate handles and anything else I touch before I leave your property.
If there’s any other precautions you would like me to take please let me know.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

Firstly though I’d like to say thank you for the many supportive replies I received to my initial texts when I suspended work. If you didn't receive a text I do apologise as several hundred were sent but had lots of issues with the length of the message and the poor phone signal I receive. Hence the reason for asking people to visit this page. If you can give the page a like (not just this post) as well in case I need to post an update in the future. Thank you

Over the last week I’ve had a few calls asking when I’m going to be up and running again. Im happy to start again and am allowed to in line with government guidelines. I feel this is very much a customer decision though as not all will feel comfortable with me visiting yet.
I will be texting customers the night before i come as per usual. If anybody would prefer me not to clean for the time being then please let me know when I text and i can contact you the next time your due.

I will be making some changes to my working practices to safeguard myself and my customers. I'm sorry its a bit of a long read and hope you don't mind some of the requests.

I would kindly ask my customers to adhere to the governments social distancing guidelines while I'm at your property and if possible remain inside while I'm cleaning please.
Unfortunately I will not be able to clean any inside windows or rear windows where access is through the house. I can clean just front windows if you require. If access is through a garage then I can still clean.

I am temporarily going to stop posting cards when I've been to clean. Obviously if you can make a note to pay me id be grateful. Id encourage all customers to pay online rather than in cash.

For customers that cannot pay online can I ask you put the correct amount in an envelope with your name and address on and the amount paid. Then leave it under your rear door mat or on a rear window sill where I can collect it. No envelopes will be opened for several days hence asking for the correct amount's where possible.

I will be wearing gloves at all times and before and after I clean each property I will be sanitising my gloves and other equipment when needed.

If there is any other precautions you think I should be taking then please let me know by text.

Obviously I’m running about 4 weeks behind schedule for which I apologise but will be working as hard as possible to get round everybody as quickly as I can.
