We don’t usually post things like this, but we’d really value your opinion.

We recently completed a cleaning job for a client who needed help urgently, so we fitted her in last minute. Two of our cleaners worked non-stop for 2.5 hours each (5 hours total) in a property with heavy pet hair and challenging conditions.

The job was completed as agreed.

The client requested to pay cash on completion and asked our cleaners to wait at the property until she arrived. She then turned up 40 minutes late. By that time, one of our cleaners had already left to make it in time for the school run, leaving one cleaner on site.

At that point, the client accused us of only sending one cleaner and refused to pay.

She also stated she was unhappy because an additional room — which was never included in the agreed service — wasn’t cleaned.

As a small business, situations like this are incredibly difficult. We always try to be flexible and help where we can, but this feels unfair to our team who worked extremely hard.

👉 Our cleaners will still be paid in full — we always stand by our staff.

Because of this, Ninja Cleaners will now be updating our policy:
➡️ Deep cleans and end of tenancy cleans will require payment upfront rather than upon completion.

Unfortunately, we will now have to consider legal action to recover the outstanding payment.

🚿 Well… that was unexpected!

One of our cleaners today pulled this out of a shower drain during a clean 😳

5 years of Airbnb cleaning & management taught me one thing: it’s not “just cleaning.”

Being available 24/7, managing guest expectations, handling last-minute issues, coordinating staff, protecting properties, and keeping standards high — all while everything looks effortless from the outside.
Not many of you know this side of my business — my second baby, Bed&Boujee where I’ve been handling Airbnb hosting and full property management.

I didn’t do it alone.
I built a team.
I built systems.

And even then, it was demanding, intense, and required real skill.

People often underestimate how much work, responsibility, and experience goes into running Airbnb properties properly. You only really understand it once you’ve done it — day in, day out.

After five years, I know exactly what it takes.
That’s why my focus is now elsewhere.
Grateful for the journey, proud of what I built, and respectful of anyone doing this work well — because it’s not easy, and it deserves recognition. 🤍 🤍
