Reg turned 3 years old a couple of weeks ago and yet he still thinks he’s a little pup.
Quite clearly not!

Apparently people aren’t seeing my posts on here, as I’m not ‘tickling’ the algorithm. 🤷‍♂️ I’m not sure what to do about that.

I still have some spaces available for this month, which is pretty normal for this time of year. So a great time to get a quick turn around on your oven clean.

I’m at home today with a bad back so I’ll be watching Ludwig on BBC I-player. We really do make some great comedies in this country. If you haven’t seen Small Prophets or The Detectorists, I highly recommend them both.

Anyway coffee and tv for me.

Back to work yesterday after almost a whole week with a chest infection. Still not quite over it, but I’m getting there.

It’s been tough stuck at home and permanently tired from lack of sleep. (The coughing has been horrendous). So it was nice to relieve this little video from one of my granddaughters. We call her Hopey-Bear and I’m sure you’ll agree, she is a beautiful soul.

I’m am now talking bookings for June and July for your reference.

The worse thing about having a compromised immune system is knowing that when there’s a bug/virus doing the rounds, the chances of you ‘catching’ it are extremely high.

Someone obviously had this throat, chest, sinus thing and was in my vicinity within the last couple of days. I did spend a couple of hours with my grandkids on Monday, but there’s no way those little germ farms have infected me again is there? 😂😂

Anyway, I’m at home, all remaining jobs for this week have been rescheduled and now I’m going to pout and feel sorry for myself.

Is Thursday the new rant day? 🤬🤬😂😂

I, for one, am fed up with everything having to be done online and thus everything requiring an account and a password. Even the local dentist are at it now!

I just want my teeth sorted, not be required to remember yet another password 😂😂

I would like to assure all my clients, you will never need to set up an exclusive online account in order to converse with me. Well other than your phone, oh and Facebook and err… WhatsApp 😂😂

I’ve taken the day off today. I had a few jobs at home that I desperately needed to catch up on.

One of which was to wash and polish my bike so I could put it up for sale. The problem I now have is, I’m not sure I’m ready to give it up just yet!

Realistically neither my wife or I have enough free-time to get any significant riding done. I think we did about 100 miles each between M.O.T.’s this past year. Dreadful!

How do I squeeze in more time between work, housework, decorating, gardening, seeing the grandchildren and trying to learn to play guitar properly?

Answers on a postcard…..

Work wise I am now entering my quieter period. The phone and messages are not a daily occurrence at the moment so my wait times have started to reduce a little.

May-July is my quietest period before things start ramping up again in August and September.

I was just sitting here drinking a cup of coffee, staring out the window, having a moment of peace.

What a beautiful day! Hopefully quite a few of those in the next few months.

Then I started thinking, I’d really like to enjoy the summer again this year. Life shouldn’t be just about work should it? (Not that I work as many hours as most people, far from it)

With this in mind, I will be once again reducing my working week to 4 mornings from the end of May until the 1st September. My goal is to just do one job a day during this period, though I will probably do more if people don’t want to wait. (I do appreciate my wait times for appointments are long enough most of the year. I would apologise but I’m quite popular 😂😂)

Now this is probably a silly thing to do with the current economic climate etc.. I’ll be losing a mornings income every week for the summer. Can I afford to do that? Probably not.
However after turning 55 last Sunday and thinking about taking the time to try and enjoy what we can from life. Rather than how much money we can earn. Feels like it’s right for me.
