July has seen the highest number of aborted calls with zero notice, non-cancelled standing orders and non-payments that we have experienced in three years. It’s been without a doubt the most frustrating and costly period we’ve encountered.

Firstly, every customer gets an appointment reminder with an arrival time. Every customer is sent an email, sent out via our expensive system that automates reminder emails. We can look back and see dates and times of all reminders sent.

We wait up to 15 mins before leaving if we cannot gain access or the customers not home for a scheduled clean. You will be charged the full rate, as our cleaners shouldn’t have to loose work last minute. Invoices are sent out in advance, which also acts as an additional appointment reminder. This week alone we’ve had two customers not home at the time of their cleans, costing us 4 hours work.

Repeat aborted calls due to not letting us know you won’t be home will result in terminated cleaning contracts. We cannot keep servicing customers who are repeatedly out when we arrive. Our cleaners get paid, constantly leaving the business out of pocket.

New cleaning spaces will be available now in August due to terminations.

Persistent late payments, ignoring invoice reminders, will result in terminated cleaning services. Our Terms and Conditions are in place for all customers.

We please ask that standing orders are cancelled for cleans that are not taking place. It costs us time and money to keep issuing refunds and spending admin time on accounts.

We do not have any more capacity to provide additional cleans. We are fully booked, our staff are working the maximum hours possible. We provide regular slots only and cannot accommodate additional cleaning.

We hope that August is kinder to the business and that customers can work with us to help our business running smoothly.

We have Terms and Conditions that apply to all customers using our service.

On a final note, we will not tolerate customers raising their voices at us or sending rude email simply for enforcing our T&Cs. They are in place to ensure our small business can continue to operate in an incredibly tough industry.
