Hi all!
Recently alot of people have been contacting us. Recently me and Caitlin have been struggling. Due to family circumstances and mental health reasons we have had to step away and take a break. We have had the odd day where we have felt like we need to work. So we have. And it's just caused unnecessary arguments and stress. PLEASE bear with us !!!!

Here at CJ&C’s Odd Jobs we LOVE to help our local community. We love to work and prove everyone wrong. However. Sometimes due to comments from other local businesses belitting us and from negative comments it makes us feel like we make no difference at all. That what we do isn't worth it. It's hard.
All we ask for is a little understanding. So if I miss your call, if It takes me a day to respond I am EXTREMELY SORRY! things are bad right now and I'm trying so so hard to maintain everything to make every customer happy aswell as myself, my relationship and day to day life.

We are NOT unreliable, we are just two young adult trying so hard to create a business to prove people wrong and that care leavers CAN work hard and ARENT what they think but others are seeming to not trust us and belittle us too much. The stress and upset of the stereo typing is not worth it..

And lastly at CJ and C's OUR PRICING IS OUR PRICING!!!
it is so cheap because we USE customers electricity and water. We take this into account. So before belitting us because we charge so cheap for a valet or a jet wash think TWICE. We use electricity and water from a customer I do not feel comfortable charging high prices and making them pay for what we use. End of. The quality isn't Low. It isn't a case of pay cheap get s**t work (pardon the french)
Its a case of we want EVERYONE to be able to access our services. Not charge a bomb for a service. We are a on foot buisness.

CJ AND C's Fund raiser For The Business!

As you know, me and Caitlin like to be completely transparent about who we are and our situation... So here goes.

CJ and C's Odd Jobs are in NEED of some new Equipment!!!

We have JUST have a recent gardening Equipment upgrade. HOWEVER. We are now in need of some more items in which we are saving up for. But COULD do with a helping hand 🆘

We want to do a car boot, however we are unable to as we know of no one who would help us do one :(

So we are going to do a ONLINE ' car boot ' sale.

We have NUMEROUS items INCLUDING;

I’d like to say a massive thank you to all 80 of you who joined last month!! We’re now at 130 followers and if you’ve been following a while you’d have seen our post at the start of March with our 50 followers and we wanted to get to 100 by the end of the month and safe to say we surpassed it 😁😁😁.

Due to recent experiences... Any job that will take more than 1-2 hours to complete will be done on a hourly pay basis.
This is due to underquoting for jobs (OUR fault) recently we have been quoting some jobs and when we have arrived and got stuck in. We've realised it's a much bigger job. (Taken a whole day) None the less we still complete the job to a high quality.

Our HOURLY rate. Is £25 p/h. This means we both recive £12.50 each per hour. HOWEVER if a job only requires ONE person then it's £15 per hour. This DOESN'T apply for Valets.

Day rates. If you'd like us for a whole day. To help with absolutely ANYTHING all all. Then our day rate is between £200 and £300 depending on how much work is completed and what the jobs include.

Valet prices will stay the same !!🚘💦

Mini valet £25
Full valet £35

Medium:
Mini valet £35
Full valet £45

Large:
Mini valet £45
Full valet £55

OUR STORY~

We want people to know about US, where we've been in life. And how we got to making CJ and C's Odd Jobs 😁

We are both care experienced young adults who have both been through the care system for numerous years~ Connor-Jay (CJ, 25 years old) and Caitlin (C, 23 years old)

Thought our WHOLE adult life we have both tried different jobs. 9-5 jobs, warehouse jobs, cleaning jobs, nightshift jobs. Retail, food and hospitality And each and every job we attempted, our mental health fails us each time, WE fail us each time.
Caitlin suffers from extreme social anxiety and depression and has done for over 5 years.
And I (Connor) suffers from manic depressive episodes and Complex PTSD (C-ptsd) and is neurodivergent.

We have tried for YEARS to get help. But only in the past few months have we Finally been medicated. No therapy. Just medication.

After MONTHS of speaking about a small business, I tried. And got nowhere. I think I had 2 responses. However I persevered. I finally thought I was ready for a job. However not the restrictions of working in a toxic work place. I couldn't do that again

And then, I had my first proper customer. I scrubbed her summer house. I painted her out house and kitchen. She was so kind and reminded me I'm stronger than I think. So I tried again. I posted results photos. I created Cjs odd jobs. Just me Connor on my own.

After a few months, Caitlin was ready. And I was so proud to take her along with me. To show her what I'd started building. What I'd been working hard to create and she wanted in. She tagged along and worked hard. I wanted to be SURE she could do it. And she HAS worked so hard for MONTHS. When I was sure, then CJ and C's Odd Jobs was Born. We share ALL profits 50/50. All. Wether it's £10 or £100. We are a TEAM so all profits are split equal.

We are so proud of what we have built and worked so hard for. YES we are not perfect and YES we have some slips and some days we are NOT 100% . Occasionally our work may not be 100%. We may forget to do something or something may not go right or as expected. If you are unhappy with work completed we are more than happy to rectify it for you :) All we ask for is a little understanding. We are starting from scratch. We are 2 young adults trying to make a living. We are by no means as professional as a huge company, however we are learning to be a long the way. This is a huge and scary journey for us.... But we are so glad we have done it! We are so greatful to everyone that has been a customer, continues to be a customer and anyone who is a future customer! We wouldn't be where we are without you !
