🌬️ Just when we thought the snow was gone....🥶🌨️🌨️💨

Storm Goretti is set to bring snow and icy conditions from Thursday evening into Friday morning, so we’re likely to see some disruption and icy travelling conditions.

There are 'AMBER' weather warnings in place from tomorrow (Thursday 8).
🟠 Snow Thursday 8pm – 9am Friday midday

❄️🚚 Our crews will be out when it counts from 6pm tonight, in the early hours if needed and throughout the week...
🚜 Extra gritters and ploughs are on standby
🌳 Our tree team is also ready, as some strong winds are expected

We know the side roads can be difficult in this weather. Our focus is on the 400km (250 mile) priority roads to keep essential routes open

With fewer people on the roads overnight, grit does not work as effectively, so please take extra care if you do need to travel - and only travel if it’s necessary.

🚫 On Friday 8 - Avoid travelling if you can
🚗 If you must go out, drive slowly and allow extra time

🌳 Trees down or roads blocked

🕳️ Freezing temperatures mean potholes will appear
