Recycling helps turn old products into new products and is the first R in our September series for a greener, cleaner world 🌍

We can recycle our household waste through the local council. We could recycle our old clothes, shoes and bags that we no longer wear or use for charity, or recycle old newspapers by turning them into wrapping paper or possibly kitty litter.

We can get involved with recycling and doing our bit for a cleaner, greener planet. There are lots of ways to recycle ♻️

During September, ESG Cleaning Services is getting our R’s on. Today, we look at the second R - REUSE 💚

Reusing our items, clothes or household goods can extend the lives of, or even give a new lease of life to, old and forgotten things.

Save waste and items going to landfill by:♻️

- Using a reusable water bottle or coffee cup - Did you know that Shrewsbury has a reusable coffee cup scheme called Shrewsbury Cup, linked to many local cafes that will get you a discount when using the reusable cup?

- Use takeaway tubs for storing left-over food in the fridge, for taking your sandwiches to work, or even for storing small items in drawers to keep them neat

- Use old bed sheets and clothes as cleaning clothes to wipe, buff or dry surfaces

In a world of fast fashion and ever-growing landfill sites, we all need to look at where we can REDUCE the things we use and buy to make for a greener and cleaner world.

There are many ways we can each reduce what we use, such as:♻️

- Going paperless with our bills and paperwork wherever possible

- Remember to take our reusable bags to the supermarket (hands up, who always forgets, buys more, and now has more reusable bags than they know what to do with?)

- Shop in charity shops in person and online when we need to update our wardrobe.
