Before I apply Diamondbrite's paint protection, I'd want to explain you a little bit about paint correction itself.
It is possible to improve the appearance of a vehicle's paint job by removing flaws and blemishes and then refinishing the surface to make it look as good as new. For example, bad washing techniques can leave swirls and other marks on the car surface as well as fine scratches, wet stains, and etched bird droppings that appear as holographic etching on the paint.
Paint correction, one of our specialties at Gabbs Auto Care , is the only true method for removing scratches from your vehicle's paint. Machine polishers and a variety of polishes and graded pads are used to fix paint flaws. Swirls, scratches, and defects won't be visible to the human eye on a fully corrected vehicle when seen in direct sunshine.
Multiple stages of polishing may be necessary to obtain full correction. The first is the roughest sandpaper, while the last is a fine-grained gloss. The first stage of polish removes the deeper scratches, and then the finer polish that follows removes the smaller surface abrasions generated by this hard polish.
The final distinction to make is between paintwork that has been properly fixed and paintwork that has been treated with solutions designed to fill surface flaws, such as an all-in-one polish. Even though no scratches or defects are visible, this is not paint correction because the imperfections are still present behind the fillers of the products and will eventually wash away, revealing them once more. In order to eliminate the permanent scratches and swirls from clear coat, a very small amount of clear coat is removed during the paint correction process. This results in a stunning display of clarity and purity.
