Another busy week here at Commando Cleaning 👏

This week we’ve been helping both commercial and residential clients with professional carpet & upholstery cleaning, alongside preparing homes for new tenants, removing stubborn stains, and refreshing properties ready to hit the market. 🏡✨

We’re now taking bookings for June, as our diary will be closed over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Happy Somerset Day, one and all!

I’m not originally from Somerset, however first moving here in 2006 - 20 years ago, I’ve had a lot to do with the town. The image displayed, is of myself marching, Alpha Company, 40 Cdo, Royal Marines through the streets of Taunton, exercising our right, post Operational Tour of Afghanistan in 2010 (yes, I know I look about 5 foot, I was stood in a storm drain). 😅

Taunton has been home to me since, and I’m very proud to serve the people of Somerset within business.

We see a lot on social media these days — and yes, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword — with people offering “professional” cleaning services without the training, knowledge, or equipment to properly support the work.

Here’s an important truth: not all stains can be removed. A genuine professional technician will always be honest about this.
Cleaning removes contamination, not damage. Expecting a deep clean to fix permanent damage is like taking your car for a valet and expecting dents or scratches to disappear.

A professional carpet cleaning process, simplified:

✅ 1. Fibre assessment – Identify the carpet fibre and construction
✅ 2. Information gathering – What happened? What has already been attempted?
✅ 3. Managing expectations – Some stains are permanent or may require follow-up treatment

What’s been keeping us so busy lately?
Well for one, the weather has been glorious, and we’ve been making the most of helping clients, improve their homes.

We’ve carried out, a whole lot of professional fibre-based cleaning, in and around the Somerset region. Carpets revived, soft furnishings brought back to their best, rugs rejuvenated! All of this saves the need for replacement, and of course saves some of your hard earned cash.

Whilst we’re always booked up, between 1-2 weeks in advance, we do have some spaces available in May. So if your home, office, place of work or worship could benefit from a refresh, we’d be pleased to assist.

With the Bank Holiday fast approaching, we hope you can manage some much needed downtime, as will we.

We’re knocking it on the head early tomorrow - mid-day, and we will be back in from Tuesday onwards.

Children and pets keep me busy, even in my own home. MIllie; my (Blue Staffy) little angel tends to go where she’s most comfortable, and who am I to stop her? After all, she’s got bigger muscles than me! 🐶 🥰 💪
