Really positive progress on a local project we’re currently delivering. So far, we’ve excavated onto the main combined line to install a new manhole, along with two lateral connections for new toilet blocks.

We also carried out a further excavation to investigate a blockage where the line was completely filled with stones — stopping both the jetter and CCTV survey in their tracks. Always something to keep us on our toes!

Next up, we’ll be moving into full and patch lining works to restore structural integrity across the pitch fibre pipework — around 10 patch liners and 50 full-length liners planned.

More investigations to follow, and potentially further excavations as we keep pushing things forward.

Once all works have been completed we then need to re-survey all lines post repair for insurance companies approval.

Great to be on site, seeing the progress firsthand and catching up with the team — that’s where the real work comes together. Great work Nick Wills and his team.

Great to have Gus Smith from S1E Ltd with us at our head office this morning 👏

He stopped by to demonstrate our latest addition to our equipment — A new lining drum which can line any drainage from 100mm - 225mm — and it didn’t disappoint.

It’s always valuable to see new kit in action, and this one is set to make a real difference in efficiency and performance across our operations.

A big thank you to Gus for taking the time to walk the team through the features and answer questions — plenty of great conversations and ideas sparked!

Exciting times ahead as we continue investing in the tools and technology that keep us moving forward.

Experienced drainage cctv engineer wanted.

This is a permanent full time position.

Equipment used is Rioned CityJet Jetter
Pearpoint push rod and crawler units.

Candidate MUST have at least 12 months experience in using push rod and crawler camera systems.

The role will be looking after our sister companies 10 construction sites checking new drainage laid and carrying out S104 post completion/pre adoption surveys.

Must be able to work off of site plans including As built

Any other drainage related experience and qualifications would be an added bonus.

Ideally the candidate will hold the following certification:

Valid CSCS card
Valid confined spaces cert ( city and guilds medium risk as a minimum)
OS19x certification
First Aid

Candidate must have a full uk driving licence.

The office is based in Taunton, Somerset but location of work is mainly within the south west of England.

Candidate will also be required to assist our other drainage teams when required.

From dark dam culverts yesterday to sunny roof tops today ☀️

Todays job in Clevedon Bristol was to clear a blockage from a roof which was causing leaks into the factory below.

In half a day we managed to clear approx 45 meters of channel that discharged into roof gullies.
Every gully was cleared and tested to ensure no blockage was left before leaving site.
Luckily a cherry picker was onsite to enable the engineers to gain access to the roof. 🪜

Another happy customer more than pleased with the service we provided. 👍🏼🌟👌🏼

Today and tomorrow we are carrying out a full drainage survey on St Andrews Church, ⛪️ Stogursey which dates back to the 12th Century. This is by far the oldest drainage system we have ever worked on at 919 years old!!

Our client wanted us to investigate and locate pipework that was originally installed in the year 1106 which turns out to be slate and limestone boxed sections. We then entered the Norman culvert/brook to establish where the lines were discharging.
Jetting in the culvert and using the camera to then locate upstream to areas where collapses have been identified.
Working along side the architect we were tasked to navigate and carry out a detailed survey with 3 different site plans in order to put the historic drainage puzzle pieces together. 🧩 💦
