This piece is a drive tripod, it connects the internals of a gearbox to a drive shaft which is linked to a cars wheels. This example shows a lot of surface rust which may not create a great seal and in turn damage any rubbers it comes into contact with. This light clean up has bought it back into working condition!

These headlight support brackets are typically coated black and after many years and miles they need a little TLC. once you lift up the bonnet these will be another little detail that shows the owners true eye to detail. With a bit of paint/powder coat these can be re protected and ultimately make it show worthy.

Anodising is the process of coating materials, particularly aluminium, through an electrolytic process that creates an oxide layer on the surface of the material. This oxide layer enhances both the aesthetics and protection against corrosion. After anodising, the aluminium is immersed in a dye bath, allowing for a range of colours.

Here, we have a typical example of some anodised aluminium parts. Over its lifespan, the anodised layer can wear away; however, running it through a v***r blaster can remove the old layer in seconds. This method is excellent for stripping down the previous finish in preparation for a new colour.
