Mark Tyzack & Son Water jetting DRAIN Cleaning We are the oldest Drainage business in swansea, and work from many locations throughout south & west Wales.

When we work on an older property, we don't use the jetting machine straight off because older drains can be made worse by jetting, we talk to you to establish if your drains have blocked before and firstly take the soft option with a few drain rods first, then if need be we jet the drain, afterwards we will always try and tell you why your drain has blocked and if any what steps you can take to a

void another blockage. (please note this method of working doesn't cost any more, but it is why most of our work comes from recommendation)

We can unblock any pipe or drain you might have. We also carry out camera surveys for fault finding or if your buying a new home. We will repair your drain as well if you require and there are many different ways to do so. Please note we don't leave the job until we are 100% happy with our work.

Just had a customer phone me and ask for a price, told the customer that its £75 for the hour.

Customer said that's better, the customer told me that she had phoned someone else first, called a local swansea number the call transferred to somewhere else and they quoted £200.00

We unblocked 3 toilets found a leak and that the above ground toilet pipe runs up hill, we've talked about costs and how to fix it but also advised that if the owner of the shop flushes the toilet before he closes at night that will probably provent blockages and save him the cost of repairing.

Total cost £75 as quoted.

Advise = free

Total saving at least £125.00

Replacing a pipe today in Porth, the pipe was previously re-lined by Dyno Rod I think, unfortunately lining was a mistake because there was almost no fall in the pipe, the liner also created a lip in the pipe of a few millimetres, just enough to catch the waste in the manhole chamber, resulting in the tenant being flooded three times.

Please be aware that some drainage companies recommend lining because it’s easier for them and not what’s best for you.

Just been to a job this morning, they had two plumbers out before us.

The job was a blocked drain.

First plumber ripped the bathroom apart and said the problem was the vent in the roof.

One or both of the plumbers disconnect the toilet to check the stench pipe.

Second plumber finally reported it was a blocked drain even though he checked the drains.

That's were we came in, drain was not blocked it was a Double Action Siphonic Toilet.

When working correctly the toilet, when flushed fills up, empties, then fills back up to the normal level.

When they go wrong they just fill and don't empty, which makes them look like a blocked toilet.

These toilets are easy to spot and shouldn't be difficult to diagnosis for a plumber.

My point is if you have a blocked toilet don't call a plumber call a drain cleaner.

A few years ago we were asked to go to the Santander bank in Swansea to work out why they were getting flooded, we told the company that the water is coming over the top of the guttering and running down the wall and entering the building through the vents high up on the wall. It's nice to see that the bank is spending some of its ill gotten gains.
