RFYL CUP:

South Shields blues (p) 2-2 Leon FC whites

Another tight game against the Shields lads in the cup which ended in another draw, a repeat from the league draw a few weeks earlier.

Shields opened the scoring and Osahon levelled up with a great strike with his weaker foot inside the area. Breeze then scored a wonder goal taking it from the half way ghosting past players with ease to slot home and take the Leon lads into the lead at the break

Shields then somehow broke free from the offside line and levelled it up to make it 2-2. Another great performance from the Leon lads playing some top football from the back and dealt with the constant opposition long ball, unfortunately the lads went out on the penalty shoot out, good luck to Shields in the next round of the cup

Player of the match to Flynn Stokoe he was excellent in the heart of defence

Sorry to anyone who’s windows haven’t been cleaned this week, the vans been getting fixed for over a week now so witherwack’s ran behind,
and the lads using ladders in southwick, Fulwell and Roker are having trouble catching up with the weather. hopefully back to normal next week.
