Sometimes inspiration finds you in the most unexpected places.

Last night, I started chatting about a TV series.

Somehow, that conversation led to business, leadership, values and the kind of person I want to be.

We talked about loyalty.
About resilience.
About building something that lasts.
About why some people leave a legacy while others simply leave a name.

Then came the question that really made me stop and think…

“What is it that I actually admire?”

It wasn’t money.
It wasn’t fame.
It wasn’t success.

It was people who build with purpose.
People who lead with integrity.
People who keep showing up, even when life gets hard.

And then I realised…

Those are the very same values I’m trying to build into Sparkling Spruces every single day.

Not just a cleaning company…

A business built on care.
A team built on trust.
A reputation built on consistency.
A brand that leaves people feeling looked after.

Funny how a conversation about a TV show can end up teaching you something about yourself.

Sometimes, the biggest lessons arrive when you least expect them.

This week has been full…

Long days, a busy weekend, moving Dad into his new chapter, running a business, keeping all the plates spinning… and if I’m honest, I’m absolutely exhausted.

But tomorrow, we get up and do it all again… and strangely, I’m ready. 🤍

In amongst all the chaos though, I’ve realised I haven’t shared one of the most beautiful moments of the week…

I became an aunty again. 💕

Welcome to the world, beautiful Margot. You are already so very loved.

And this photo… I honestly can’t stop looking at it. Watching Kit so gently looking after his baby sister, already stepping into his role as the proudest big brother, is enough to make your heart burst. Some bonds begin from the very first moment.

It’s a reminder that even during the busiest, most exhausting weeks, life quietly gives us the moments we’ll remember forever.

Tonight I’m ending the week with a very full heart, a grateful one too… and tomorrow, we’ll do it all again. ✨🤍

✨ A different kind of day for Steph and I! 📦

Today we’ve put the cleaning tools down and swapped them for moving boxes, becoming removal women for the day to help Dad with his long-awaited house move. 💪🏡

Sometimes, the best thing you can give is your time. Family comes first, and we’re so pleased to have been able to lend a hand with such an exciting new chapter.

We even had an extra pair of hands today, which was really appreciated and helped to push us over the finish line for the day. Thank you Wayne Rapson.

We’ll be back to making homes sparkle soon enough, but today it’s all about helping create a new one.

Midweek check-in… ✨

It’s been one of those full-on days.

Steph and I have been out on the tools, getting our clients’ homes sparkling as always, followed by a couple of tip runs and getting everything organised ready to move our Dad into his new place soon. 💙

This evening was Pilates 💁🏻‍♀️ a chance to stretch, reset and slow the pace for an hour.

There have been a few unexpected changes to the diary along the way (because that’s business life!), but everything’s sorted, the to-do list is finally done, and now it’s time to switch off, put my feet up and recharge for tomorrow.

I hope you’ve all had a lovely Wednesday. Here’s to another productive day tomorrow. ✨💙
