We were very sorry to hear the sad news about Ruby.. may she rest in peace🙏🏼.. condolences to her family.. Ruby Druce, Ireland’s oldest citizen, has sadly passed away.

The remarkable Castlefinn lady lived to be 109 years of age and inspired many.

Replaced some ridge tiles earlier which were blown off by the recent storm..

Following the recent storm when they had no power or heating, the householders wanted their chimney cleaned out, uncapped and a crow guard fitted.. they also wanted the unsightly & now unused and broken TV arial cut off and removed as well..

SAFETY WARNING..folks if visitors are visiting for Christmas then sometimes the open fire here can be abit of a novelty.. and visitors can start throwing wrappers and other stuff into the fire.. well don’t let them do this as plastic bags in particular can get carried up the chimney like a hot air balloon before they get a chance to burn and block the chimney causing the room to dangerously fill with smoke almost immediately.. thankfully no one was hurt on this occasion and I successfully removed the bag from the chimney earlier 2day.. but prevention is better.. have a safe Christmas folks
