What was your job today?

Mine was to clean and polish these beautiful silverware canteens!

They have been stored in outbuildings for over 30 years, so the dust build up and insect 💩 was plentiful 🫣 the insides had mildew and insect nests.

They are now ready to be refilled for when he relocates 🩷

We’re lacing up and hitting the ground running — non-stop for 24 hours — to raise money for an incredibly important cause: The Parent and Baby Unit at St George’s Hospital, Stafford.

This specialist eight-bed unit supports mothers and their babies (up to 12 months old) who are struggling with serious mental health challenges related to pregnancy, childbirth, and early motherhood. It’s also able to care for pregnant women from 32 weeks onwards.

💛 Why it matters:

• Up to 80% of women experience the “baby blues” shortly after birth.

• Around 10–15% develop postnatal depression, with symptoms like sadness, fatigue, poor sleep, and feelings of guilt.

• A small but significant number of women (1-2 in every 1000) experience postnatal psychosis, a severe and urgent condition.

While many can be supported at home, some need specialist, inpatient care — and that’s where the Parent and Baby Unit steps in, offering a calm, homely, and healing environment for both mums and babies.

Just a little note to

Unfortunately for the past two months I have been receiving calls from a private number at all hours of the day and night (which I do have logged) the person who is calling has never rang long enough for me to answer until this evening, when I answered I didn’t speak but there was a radio or similar playing in the background before they ended the call after several seconds.

This has to have come either from someone who has taken my number from my business page, or it is someone I already know and they have my details anyway, but either way I have now had to remove my personal mobile number from my business page to at least try and reduce the risk of this potentially happening again.

If anyone does need to contact Maid in Stone, this will now need to be via the WhatsApp button or messenger.
