Not posted for a while due to too much to put on the page and it gets boring for some people but I thought i would share this job. With help from family we stained 2 access ramps, built a fence and stained that as well and also put in place a very large area of artificial grass, cracking job done and a very happy customer too.

Started the week off by installing 2 new bedroom floors for a lovely couple in Goldenhill, the old floors had given way causing holes to appear in the flooring, the flooring already in situ was not of flooring quality as it was loft boarding, this type of boarding is not flooring and its meant for occasional use. The new flooring is 22mm thick and fitted down at every joist. This job was a joint venture with my Brother in law Dave from DRJ Property Maintenance of Harriseahead and i thank him for his invaluable help with all of the heavy lifting and fitting of the new floor and thanks also go to my fantastic wife Jane for all of the Labouring she has done. Well today ended different than it started, the original worked booked for today was to stain a shed and stain and repair some fence panels but when we got to the job a bathroom fitter was ripping out the old suite and piling it up against where we wanted to be so we came off that job and went to Endon to erect a huge mirror for a regular customer plus she wanted the bath/shower resealing and some shelves fitting up so we completed that job and came away then we went to finish of a job that we couldn't do because of the weather, the weather was ok today so we applied 3 coats of Oak solvent based stain/preserver....job done.

Yesterday and today (Mon & Tues) saw us getting customers lawns and gardens ready for the wintertime, also a lovely couple in Biddulph wanted us to give their shrubs, trees and boundry hedges a really good pruning so we took down 2 very large Cordyline trees out completely and then cut back everything else, all the waste went into a large skip.

Today (weds) we were tasked with a number of jobs for a couple in Fenton, we have done lots of work at this customers home in recent months such as new steps laid, new outside handrail fitted and some artificial grass has been laid.
The jobs on this visit were to relay the artificial grass because when a different tradesmen went to do some pointing of the brickwork on the house he or they disrupted the grass that we had laid some months earlier, also we had to w**d out all of the hard standing areas at the rear of the house, install more artificial grass at a different area, cut a large tree stump down and to plant a few shrubs. Thursday and Friday this week sees us painting window frames inside and out of a garage, plus the back door, a large beam support on a carport, the downing of a large conifer tree and finally jetwashing of the customers driveway, all this for a lovely elderly lady in Long Valley Road, Gillow Heath.

This week saw Simply D.I.Y and Gardening Services doing work for a lovely couple in Brown Lees, part 1 of the job was to take down a very large shed and dispose of it into a skip, a special thanks go to Gillian and Dave from DRJ Maintenance Services for their invaluable help with the dismantling of the shed, part 2 was to prepare the fence panels for staining and an application of stain was applied and part 3 was to remove all flaking paint from the wall at the drive entrance as well as the posts and gravel boards which hold the fence panels and then to apply exterior masonry paint complete with a coat of PVA bonding agent.
