🐝 Honeybees relocated from Tettenhall to Biddulph Moor.

The bees had made their home in a cavity of a wall and ceiling area of the property.

The homeowners had been happy to share their home with the bees until honey had started to run down the inside wall during the hot weather 🍯

As the homeowner tried to clean the area the bees came through a crack in the plaster and from then on had become defensive inside the house, which wasn’t ideal as they were located next to a bathroom door.

🐝Red tailed Bumblebees
The nest was exposed during work to upgrade a garden in Congleton.

Both the home owner and builders were keen to relocate the bees to give them a chance of survival.

We gathered the bees by placing a fine net over them them placed them in a polycarbonate bee box before transporting them to Biddulph.

As they had travelled nearly 5 miles to their new location we were able to release them straightaway rather than keep the entry to the box closed overnight.

Honeybees relocated from Orrell to Biddulph Moor.

The bees were causing issues as they were gaining access to the bathroom through gaps in the brick work and a number of people had been stung as they were quite defensive.
We hoovered the 🐝colony then removed and framed the comb ready to transport to their new home. The area was cleaned then sprayed with repellent before the brick work was made good to stop re-entry and further issues.

Honeybees from Newchapel cut out from under a bathroom floor after gaining entry through an air vent.
The bees were moved to their temporary home with Mike Walker on Woodhouse Lane before they are taken to Church Road Allotments in Biddulph.

Honeybees from Brighton moving into their new hive at Pye Ash Farm Bosley.

While there is no finesse in getting the bees from the vac into the hive it’s amazing at how quickly they settle into their new home.🐝🏠

Honeybees living in a wall in a mews property in Brighton needed to be relocated to allow maintenance work to go ahead 🐝

As we were unable to locate a home nearer to Brighton we took the bees to Pye Ash Farm in Bosley where Jane will be taking care of the colony
