Make sure to eat well and keep hydrated before appointments, especially now during heatwave!
It's gets really warm inside my work space, I have doors and windows open to create draft and also a fan on full speed. Being in our prom dresses can make us feel extra warm and faint at times. I highly recommend to have Dextro electrolyte tablets to shew on or use the ones you put in water. Water alone is not always enough.

It's great fun to see a before and after picture of alterations. As you can see the dress was very long on me. It was also very big and I didn't take any pictures of the back of the dress to show you before and after but I think you get the idea anyways.
I kept the length at the back like I do to most dresses unless requested differently.
To do alterations on myself is a bit harder as I have to pin it on my own. In this case, with the length, I eyeball it, pin it, look in the mirror and walk in it and adjust till I'm happy.
This dress has a lovely horsehair hemline in the inside to give that nice crisp edge and volume.

I had such an amazing time at The Gutsy Foundation tonight! Beautiful event, and I'm proud to be sponsoring a table there. I get to connect with lovely people as well as supporting a charity.
I felt absolutely amazing in my dress, a dress I altered the length on and also made it smaller as it was to big for me. And to too this up I had such an amazing hair updo that made me feel so beautiful! The hair was beautiful all morning, all day and all night long! Hair by shell j did my hair, make sure to book her in for your prom or wedding. Make sure to do that now before age runs out if appointments, she is a mobile hair dresser!
And dont forget to follow and support gutsy foundation as well, and I hope I'll see you next year at the event!

Due to an extremely high workload and existing orders currently in progress, I will unfortunately no longer be able to take on June prom appointments at this time. Very very few spots left for july depending on date of prom.
This wasn’t an easy decision, and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. I always want to give every client the time, care, and quality they deserve, and right now I need to focus on completing current work to the highest standard.

Interesting facts about prom dresses. Some prom dresses stains the sewing machine, my hands and nails too at times. It's most often only blue and red dresses. This will obviously be cleaned off before next job.
I find this rather interesting. It happens every year, but not with all of dresses.

Bridal alterations are not just simple changes, they take a lot of time, care, and skill. Even something like taking up the length has to be done very carefully so the dress still looks perfect and keeps its shape.

Every dress is different, and the process often takes several hours of work. From working with delicate fabrics to making sure every detail looks right, it’s all done with patience and attention.

The final look may seem simple, but a lot of hard work goes into making each dress fit beautifully.

Here is a brief video of a bagged hem with horsehair trim on the inside. Hemline is pinned at the first fitting, I mark the finish hemline before I start the process of shortening the dress. It's great fun!
On the second fitting we check the length again to make sure it's to satisfaction. Adjustments on alterations are always included unless there is a change of shoes which can affect the length.
