He was dethroned, for a week, but it’s a familiar name leading the Market Me Ltd sponsored race for the Golden Boot.

Karl Charlton ruthlessly helped himself to four last weekend, while debutant Harvey Amoah (Gibben Property Solutions) shoots straight up there after his hat-trick.

He’s level with Callum Carberry (Window cleaning by Liam mccafferty) on three for the campaign.

In the chase for the Market Me Ltd golden boot, Callum Carberry (Window cleaning by Liam mccafferty) moved into double figures for the campaign with a great volley against Belle Vue Rovers.

As we enter the run-in, can anybody find some form and catch Karl Charlton (Car Care of Marske )? βš½οΈβš½οΈβš½οΈπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ

Cleveland FC Sundays 5 VPR 5

Match Sponsor: Wells CRS

Market Me Ltd scorers: Junior Masandi (4), Danny Surtees

MKV Property Services MOTM: Junior Masandi

If ever a game typified Sunday League then this was it… ten goals, sin-bins, the greatest/worst own goal you’ll ever see and a host of yellow cards.

We made a red-hot start with Masandi heading us ahead from a Surtees cross.

A calamitous own goal followed straight from the restart as we gifted Cleveland a way back in to it but we bounced back brilliantly.

Masandi produced another great finish when one-to-one before Surtees rifled home from 25 yards to make it 3-1.

Masandi raced through to make it four before Cleveland pulled one back but our in-form No.9 grabbed his fourth and our fifth.

We looked to be cruising to victory but ten minutes of madness proved costly as we lost our composure to go a man down temporarily, and ultimately the Cleveland capitalised and grabbed two goals to get themselves right back into it.

It was a tough slog in the second period as the hosts enjoyed plenty of the ball but some strong defending held them at bay until a worldie with ten minutes to go ensured it was honours even.

Big thanks to our player sponsors: Callum Wilson (DCM Recruitment LTD), Tom Young (Wells CRS Community Cup), Josh Mcmanus (ProKit UK), Robert Edemenson (Hangover Weekends), Karl Charlton (Car Care of Marske ), Callum Carberry (Window cleaning by Liam mccafferty),

The chase for the Market Me Ltd Golden Boot is still being led by Karl Charlton (Car Care of Marske ) after he scored for the ninth consecutive game.

Callum Carberry’s (Window cleaning by Liam mccafferty) red-hot form continued with his seventh from his last five outings while Jake Marron got his first of the campaign.

But it’s Danny Surtees who is the biggest mover as he climbs to joint-third in the standings after his brilliant brace on Sunday.

Big cal on the score sheet again!

Fourth win on the bounce for the Turkey Chasers as both Karl Charlton and Callum Carberry continued their hot-streaks in front of goal - but this morning belonged to Danny Surtees.

Charlton pounced on a poor goalkick to race through one-on-one and slot home before Surtees grabbed his first with a brilliant diving header from a Famara Jatta cross.

We failed to deal with a cross on the stroke of half time as Coulby got back into it but straight from the restart Surtees won back the ball, powered past three and drilled home to make it 3-1 with the last kick of the half.

Jake Marron made it four with a fantastic header from another Jatta ball in as the game looked to be done and dusted.

However, Coulby refused to roll over and they got a goal back with a fantastic volley from 25 yards.

But Mo Bah thundered a fierce drive off the crossbar at the death and Carberry was on hand to head home the rebound for his eighth of the campaign.

As always, a huge thank you to all of our player sponsors: Tom Young (Wells CRS), Lewy Booth (Kulaz Barbers New), Josh McManus (ProKit UK), Nathan Patterson (Taylor Wimpey) πŸ¦ƒβš½οΈ

Three in a row after a comfortable morning, apart from a mad six minute spell, that saw us secure another three points.

It was a first half that had little clear cut chances in the opening half hour, despite us dominating possession, until Charlton pounced on a defensive error to rifle home.

Young then made a great surge into the box on the stroke of the break, only to be hacked down for a penalty. Charlton stepped up but fired wide.

He made up for that, as always, just five minutes after half time when he brilliantly headed home from a Famara Jatta cross to double our advantage.

Game over… or so we thought. They got back into it with an excellent floated long-ranger then worse was to follow as a low cross was turned in to our own net to make it 2-2.

But we stepped it up another gear again and the tireless Carberry got his reward for his hard work when he pounced on some poor defensive work, took it round the keeper and slotted home.

Then, after their main man had seen red for lashing out at Charlton, we sealed the points with the last kick of the game.

Sam Holden and Young refused to give up on a long clearance forward as the latter fed the ball to the latter down the right of the area.

Holden drilled it across goal, it hit a defender via Young’s belly (according to some πŸ‘€) and nestled in the net to make it 4-2.

As always, a big thank you to all of our player sponsors: Lewy Booth (Kulaz Barbers New) πŸ¦ƒβš½οΈ
