Unfortunately my van broke down yesterday and is in for repair so I’m working at a reduced capacity now this week and can only do jobs in the Stirling area until the van is back on the road. This is down to having to make two journeys per job in order to remove, clean and then reinstall the oven racks etc (which would usually be done in the back of my van whilst on site).
I’ve a temporary work station for all the racks set up in my garden so at least some jobs can be done.
Not had any word on the van yet but hopeful it’ll be all sorted for next week.
Big thanks to the man from Ogilvie that stopped yesterday morning and gave me a push to get the van off the busy road just off Millhall roundabout - out of the way to cause minimum disruption at a busy time of day.
Apologies if I’ve cancelled/ rescheduled your clean for this week - hopefully be back up and running properly soon.

It’s been a super busy April - jobs completed in Auchterarder, Pitlochry, Stirling, Dunblane, Alva , Tullibody, Alloa, Causewayhead, Bannockburn, Culross, Falkirk, Kinbuck, Cambuskenneth, Cambusbarron, Cornton, Bridge of Allan, Tillicoultry, Kincardine, Bathgate, Fishcross, Gargunnock, Blair Drummond, Buchlyvie, Larbert and we’ve still a week to go…. Crieff next week 😀
Even done an oven clean in my own street, and can safely say for one week only they have the cleanest oven in the street….. doing my own oven soon apparently 😜

This week marks 13 years of Wallace Oven Cleaning - my lucky number 🎲
That’s thousands of ovens cleaned all around central Scotland, thousands of enquiries, text messages, emails and phone calls all replied to. Loads of coffee and biscuits received at jobs. It’s hard work being self employed you need to get up and get on with it and there are many ups and downs. Ultimately though the majority of my customers have been good to me over the years - repeat business, word of mouth recommendations. Payments made on time. I’m very grateful for that.
This all started after a conversation in the pub with my dad in January 2013 - he asked me why I didn’t just take the plunge - go for it - and start up myself having previously been employed by another oven cleaning company for 6 years. By April that year and having hand delivered 10,000 leaflets all over Stirling I was up and running with enquiries/ bookings trickling in.
So a big thanks to everyone who has helped and assisted along the way, who have given me an opportunity to provide a service which has allowed me to make a living.
I hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend and if you’re not fortunate enough to be off this weekend I hope it goes by ok.
