☀️ I’ve got just five days left here in Spain before it’s time to head home.
⚓️ As much as I could happily stay by the sea a little longer, I’ve found myself thinking about work more than I expected.
🧺 This isn’t a hotel holiday. This used to be my home, so life carries on as normal in many ways. The washing still needs doing, the house still needs looking after, and I’ve even found myself cleaning air conditioning filters and ticking off the odd maintenance job. I suppose I can’t help myself!
💖It made me realise something… I genuinely enjoy having a purpose. I love slowing down and recharging, but I also love the satisfaction of looking after a home and leaving it feeling cared for.
🥰Maybe that’s why cleaning never really feels like “just a job” to me. Whether it’s here in Spain or back with my lovely clients at home, I get the same sense of satisfaction from creating a space that feels fresh, calm and welcoming.
🐚 For now, I’ll keep collecting shells and making the most of these last few days by the sea… but I have to admit, I’m looking forward to getting back to the homes and people I’ve missed.
