There are 27.8 million households in the UK, if each house though away one plastic cleaning bottle a week then over one year there would be 1,445,600,000 bottles, remember that is just the UK alone, and just house holds, add on businesses in just the private sector at the start of 2019 there was 5.9 million businesses, so one cleaning plastic bottle in that area would be a further 306.8 million. Makes you thanks hey? The sad thing is too much of this waste is ending up in our oceans.
The ocean is said to be the earth’s life support with 97% of the worlds water held by the ocean. We rely on it to regulate our climate absorb CO2 and it is the number one source of protein for a billion people.

At the rate we are polluting the ocean with around 12.7 million tonnes of plastic a year the damage we are doing to marine life and our ecosystem is becoming irreparable. Our actions over 10 years will determine the state of the ocean for the next 10,000 years to come.
Not to mention the harm we are doing to the marine life with plastics suffocating and killing beautiful creatures, and poisoning them with toxic chemicals.
