🧱 You’ve cleaned your driveway… so why does it still look “unfinished”? 👀
There’s a good chance you’ve forgotten one of the most important parts — the re-sanding!
I see this all the time. The driveway gets blasted clean, everyone is happy with the result… and then the sand never goes back in the joints. 🤦♂️
So I’ve made a quick video showing why re-sanding is so important, along with a few of my top tips for getting it right.
And before anyone thinks “How hard can cleaning a driveway really be?” 😂 — give it a go!
Block paving is much tougher to clean properly than it looks, especially with a Karcher K4 (or similar). A small electric machine can spend hours even days working away at a job that professional equipment can tackle much more efficiently.
The difference comes down to power, water flow, cleaning chemicals, technique and experience. A 21LPM+ petrol machine and professional-grade cleaning methods are a completely different proposition.
And then there’s the bit that often gets missed…
👉 The finish.
Getting the dirt off is only part of the job. Getting the paving properly cleaned (removal of black spot and white lichens), joints filled and finished correctly is what makes the difference between “I cleaned my driveway” and “Wow, that looks like a new driveway!” 😎
