After taking some time off to soak in all of the newborn cuddles with our baby boy🦋and having some quality family time, I’m eager and excited to be back to work from the 7th September📖

Just want to say a massive thank you to all my amazing clients for your patience and the lovely messages I’ve recieved🥺

All existing clients who have waited for me to return will have first priority before I open my diary to new bookings, depending on spaces I have available, as I am only returning part time spaces will be limited, so I recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, I will try my best to make it work for everyone but for now family comes first💙🩷

A little reminder about the reality of being a self-employed cleaner. Some people should really take the time to read this 🫶 *sorry for a long post and a little bit of a rant* 🙈

From time to time, potential clients tell me what they’re willing to pay for a clean. While I completely understand that everyone has a budget, I also have to price my work fairly based on the time, effort and standard I provide. As a professional cleaner, I don’t just charge for my time spent in your home.

These are just some of the things that I can think of off the top of my head that I need to cover ..

-Public liability insurance
-DBS checks
-Staff wages
-Holiday pay (which I have to effectively fund myself)
-Tax and National Insurance contributions
-Cleaning products and equipment
-Laundry costs (cloths, mop heads, etc.)
-Fuel and travel time between jobs
-Vehicle maintenance, insurance and servicing
-Administration (sometimes I’m not too great at🙈)
-Advertising
-Sick days (unpaid when self-employed)
-Replacement and repair of equipment
-Business phone and internet costs

And there is so much more!!!😭

Being self employed isn’t easy, and I once everything is all paid for I’m probably earning under minimum wage. I won’t sell myself short, I know my worth!

Heavily pregnant, battling this ridiculous heat, but still working just as hard to keep your homes sparkling🙈

The next few weeks are going to be crazy as I get closer to my maternity leave. If I’m being honest, I’m feeling really nervous and emotional about stepping away for the first time since starting this venture🥹

But… I also know I’m leaving you all in very capable hands, and I’m so confident the girls will continue doing an amazing job and keeping standards just as high while I’m off. And knowing me, you will probably see me doing little bits here and there because I can’t sit still for long😅

We’re still taking bookings for one-off cleans, deep cleans, end of tenancy cleans and more, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch - and who knows… maybe maternity leave will finally make me better at replying to messages and keeping on top of the admin side of things too 😂
