Cleaned this porcelain patio for a residential property in Cheshire. The tiles themselves were holding up well.

The problem was the grouting between them. Black with algae, dirty, making the whole patio look neglected.

We focused on the grout lines as much as the tiles. Once everything matched again, the patio looked the way it should.

Worked on a roof in Scarisbrick last month on a farmhouse property surrounded by agricultural land on three sides.

Completed a gutter clear in Chorley recently where the downpipe had been blocked for long enough that the homeowner had forgotten it ever worked properly.

Water simply overflowed from the gutter joint during any significant rainfall. A green stain ran down the render beneath, tracing the path the overflow had taken repeatedly over several years.

The blockage sat about two feet down the downpipe. Compacted moss and leaf debris that had solidified into something surprisingly solid. Once cleared, water flowed freely for the first time in years.

We cleaned the render staining afterwards. The elevation looked remarkably different once both problems were resolved together.

Recently completed a render clean in Knutsford on a new build property that had been handed over approximately four years ago.

The homeowners expressed surprise that cleaning was needed so soon. Developer marketing materials had emphasised low maintenance exteriors. Four years felt premature.

We explained that low maintenance describes the material itself, which requires no painting or treatment. Biological growth remains an external factor that affects all surfaces regardless of their underlying maintenance requirements.

▶ With re-sanding, the surface functions as designed. W**ds lack opportunity. Blocks stay locked together under load.

Aggressive pressure strips the granular coating from the tiles and shortens their lifespan.

We utilise a scraping method followed by a biocide treatment. This removes the moss without eroding the protective surface of the tile.

This property had heavy rust staining running down the exterior cladding, caused by long-term water runoff and metal oxidation. Over time, these stains become deeply embedded and very difficult to remove without the correct treatment.

Worked on a substantial driveway in Liverpool recently featuring a combination of resin-bound surfacing near the entrance with block paving across the main parking area.

Different materials require different approaches. The resin section needed lower pressure and careful chemical selection to avoid damaging the bound aggregate. The block paving tolerated more aggressive cleaning.

Managing these transitions involves adjusting technique across a single project. The results need to look consistent even though the underlying approach differs.

Both surfaces now present a unified entrance rather than materials ageing at visibly different rates.
