Please see below the report from our new leader of our council.
In regards to our policy in these situations, we would like to highlight, that in most situations, with missed bin empties, we will where ever possible return the next day to complete our cleaning.
When ever this is not possible, we will credit your account and ensure you receive your allocated cleans.
Thank you for your understanding of this situation, that is out of our control.
We know some residents have experienced bin collection disruption recently and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Like many councils, we’re facing national challenges including a shortage of HGV drivers, difficulty recruiting agency staff, and an ageing fleet of vehicles. These issues have put additional pressure on our services during the busy summer months.
We’re taking action to improve the situation, including recruiting new drivers, bringing in extra support, and replacing older vehicles. While these improvements are underway, some disruption may continue over the coming weeks. Our priority is always to collect general waste and recycling on schedule
