There’s still so much judgement attached to being a cleaner.
People hear the word and assume low skill, low pay, no ambition.
Some even say they’re “too good” for it.
Some look their noses down on us.
Here’s the truth…
Cleaning is honest work.
It’s hard graft.
It takes resilience, reliability, trust, organisation, and pride in what you do.
Not everyone can clean, and a decent cleaner is hard to come by.
And here’s the part that really surprises people 👇
I earn more now than I ever did in the corporate world.
No stuffy offices full of bitchy people.
No fake smiles.
No pretending to fit a mould that was never made for me.
Just real work.
Real results.
Real impact.
Cleaning puts food on the table.
It keeps homes safe.
It supports vulnerable people.
It keeps businesses running.
There is no shame in earning a living with your hands.
No shame in starting from the ground up.
And absolutely no shame in choosing a path that gives you freedom, pride, and financial stability.
Judge the job all you like, I’ll keep showing up, working hard, and proving that “just a cleaner” is anything but.
Here’s to all the hard working cleaners and business owners. I see you
