We recently visited a property near Ashburton where the existing septic tank serves three homes. The system is old and needs replacing, but with some of the drainage running beneath the properties, it isn’t simply a case of swapping one tank for another.

One of the properties is also being sold, so it’s important to find a solution that resolves the current issues and works for everyone connected to the system.

During the visit, we assessed the existing drainage and looked at where a new 20-person Harlequin tank and drainage field could be installed. We also considered access, the power supply and any future building plans that could affect its position.

We’ll always look for the best solution for our customers, taking into account the property, the practical requirements and the cost involved.

A brilliant project our team are currently working on at RSPCA (England & Wales) Little Valley Animal Shelter 🐾

The shelter is undergoing a huge expansion and making improvements to its facilities, and we’re pleased to be supporting the project with the installation of three new Harlequin treatment plants.

The work includes replacing two existing tanks, along with installing a completely new system for the expanded facilities.

There’s still plenty happening on site, but it’s great to see the improvements taking shape and to play a part in a project that will support the shelter for years to come.

We’re completing the work alongside building contractor Fifields and look forward to sharing the finished result soon ✅

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, a repair just isn’t possible.

This customer’s existing septic tank system had failed, so our team spent time assessing the problem and looking at whether it could be fixed.

We’ll always explore repair options first because a full replacement isn’t always necessary. In this case, however, installing a new treatment plant was the most practical and cost-effective long-term solution for the customer.

We installed a Tricel Novo UK8 treatment plant, designed to manage wastewater for a property of up to eight people. The new system provides efficient wastewater treatment and has a durable, low-maintenance design which will make it easier for the customer to look after going forward.

Sometimes only minor improvements are needed.

☀️ A quick update from us ☀️

With temperatures forecast to reach exceptionally high levels today, we’ve made the decision to pause all on-site works for the day.

Our team works incredibly hard throughout the year in all weather conditions, but their safety and wellbeing will always come first. Much of what we do is physically demanding, and with the extreme heat expected, we don’t feel it’s fair or safe to ask our team to work in those conditions.

We’ve contacted all customers who were due to have us on site today and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we put our team’s health and safety first.
