Let’s talk about Drains!🕳️
The British Pest Control Association estimate that approximately 80% of residential rat issues comes from faults with drains and their connecting systems.
Rats can make their way into your property using disused drains, faulty connections, broken pipes or even chewing through PVC!
There are a number of ways to ensure your home is protected from these issues, such as conducting a survey and installing one way valves.
One way valves work by preventing anything from moving up your drain while still allowing the necessary flow to move out of your property, as well as any rats which may be in your system!
This prevents future ingress via the drainage system and when used in conjunction with a survey, any repair works can be carried out to prevent this issue reoccurring in the future. 🐀
