This time of year, we often receive a surge of calls about “swarms of wasps” around homes and gardens. In many cases, what you're seeing isn’t a threat at all – it’s actually honey bees swarming, and it’s a completely natural and temporary event.

Honey bees swarm to find a new home. They're usually calm and will move on in a day or two.
Tip: Honey bees are fuzzy and round, wasps are shiny and skinny.

This little one is a solitary bee making use of a tiny gap in the brickwork.

At this time of year, these bees are extremely common and play a vital role in pollination - and the good news? They pose little to no threat to people or property. No large colonies, no aggressive behaviour, just nature doing its thing.

Another property secured 🛡️🐀

We completed extensive rodent proofing works today on a property heavily affected by rats. We identified entry points through the drainage system and damaged airbricks.

Our solution? - installing airbrick covers, fitting a one-way drain valve, and sealing exposed drainage to eliminate access.

Out with the mess, in with the protection 🐦🚫
