Can you feel it yet π±
The chill in the mornings and evenings.
I detest the cold months, my body hates it more but the one thing I love about it is lighting my stoveπ₯
& Christmas That's it !!
You just cannot beat a roaring fire...π₯π₯
Us blokes love it π€£
The stove makes it so worth while and at the same time, saving me heating the hole house when I only need to heat 1 or two rooms. So we leave the thermostat on 18 degs but the stoves on in the rooms we are in, meaning the heating does not kick in as it rises to about 22 to 24 degs and our stat is in the hallway, coldest part of the house.
The heat travels out the rooms with the aid of stove fans and up the heat rises. It won't not go into every room, if someone tells you it does it isnt true, but if your bedroom is above your front room where the fire is, then happy days, nice and toasty.
But do remember to keep all your doors open, except the stove door of course, all you do here is burn your fuel quicker.
When our heat comes through the door you can actually feel it on top of the stairs and its really nice warm air. π₯
But when the stove cools and the temperature drops below 18degs, the heating then kicks in to take off the chill.
This is how we run our heating in the colder months.
Would you like a stove installing. π₯
We have had a very busy week with 3 being installed.
Please don't leave it til the last minute.
We do get very busy with installs this time of year and they are quite timely. We don't rush you into buying, we want you to make the right decision and I can aid you with this.
If you are interested, please send our page a message and we can go from there.
The regs have changed on installations too.
All stoves need to be eco-design & clear skies compliant.
Also, if you are burning wood only, you can use 316 grade liner.
If you are burning multi-fuel then you will need 904 liner which does cost more.
But saying that, as long as you look after your stove and liner, get it swept every year you will have no issues.
For those that already have 316 grade liner installed like myself before the regs changed you will be fine. Just keep on top of the sweeps.
If you need it sweeping I recommend Home Sweep Homes - Chimney sweeping. Rebecca has been doing mine for years, super tidy and a lovely person to deal with and she does the job properly.
If you need any help or advise, please send us a message, we are happy to help where we can.
We can no longer offer stove repairs but we do keep in stock stove ropes, glues, paints etc and can order fire bricks for your stove.
Look after your stove and it will look after you.
