Well, what a week it's been so far with the weather. My heart truly goes out to all the business owners up and down the coast who have been badly affected by the storms at the weekend. So much hard work goes into building and maintaining a business and to have it damaged so badly in such a short space of time is horrendous.
As many of you know, im based in Skelmorlie and with the closure of the A78, that affects me getting to customers in anywhere south of Skelmorlie until the road reopens. I fully believe that the Red Road should be only essential vehicles allowed and the official diversion is not really an option as with high fuel costs it's not feasible. If any other options become open to me I'll certainly explore them. I would ask that with the situation as it stands that if you live in Largs, Fairlie or Kilbirnie that you sit tight at the moment and hopefully AMEY find a solution to the road very soon.
