While it is necessary for every business owner who sells physical products to actually have proper representation of their products via pictures, learning product photography professionally isn't for everyone.
Even though a real estate agent Sells products as in lands and houses, my product photography class isn't for her. What she needs to focus more on is marketing and content creation.
Should every vendor buy props too? Backdrops? Flowers and the likes? No.
You have to identify what your business requires at a time. For a vendor who sell large kitchen equipments, washing machine and other instruments, she doesn't need to get backdrops. What she rather needs to invest in is on having a proper background for her pictures, neat environment, perhaps a tiled floor or carpeted floor, clean paint or wallpaper. A few things here and there to make her pictures neat. Does she need a professional photography class? Not necessarily. If you go through my photography page, the tips I have there would help you alot.
For some businesses, what they need to focus on is content creation, for some, it is graphic design, for others, it is marketing, for some, ot is product packaging and branding and for some, it is a combination of all of these plus product photography. So you have to choose your hustle wisely so that you won't keep spending money and doing the wrong things. If you sell smaller items, skin care products, ready made and imported clothes, fashion items, shoes, bags, jewelries, underwears, glasses, fabrics, perfumes and Incenses, blogger, food items, spices then you need to attend my class.
I have gotten some questions "I don't afford to buy props now, would the class be of benefit to me?"
Absolutely, it is a full package. I would be teaching you how to use props, how to get and use alternatives, where to get inspiration, understanding your camera settings and lighting and of course editing.
