Big things are happening at WashEmpress 👑

What started as your go-to for everyday washing here in Selby is now making some seriously fresh waves in the social media world — and yes, we’re spinning faster than a 1400rpm cycle.

At WashEmpress, we handle everything from your daily laundry loads to specialist garment care, treating every item like it belongs in a royal wardrobe (because, frankly, it does once it’s with us).

Now we’re stepping up our game online too — bringing you tips, behind-the-scenes moments, and maybe the occasional laundry confession (we’ve all got that one mystery sock…).

Stay tuned — because this isn’t just laundry, it’s a full-on laundry revolution. And we’re just getting started. 👑

Hiya everyone,

It has recently come to our attention that not long after our unexpected closure a business had opened up using a very similar name.
We would like to make all our customers aware that this business is not associated with us and has no reflection on the good name we have created for ourselves.
I want to make this known as several customers have come into our shop believing that this business was opened up by ourselves from home when the shop was closed.
I want to thank all of our loyal customers for returning and informing us of this situation, your continued support is always appreciated and has never gone unnoticed.

Easter weekend last year is going to be the day that stays with us for the rest of our lives. It will always be the day Julie lost everything she that she had spent nearly 20 years building up.
It was as a shock to the system for everyone but more so for her. As staff to us this is just a job but to her it was her lively hood and all her blood, sweat and tears along with a lot of sleepless nights, went into making it a place for everyone. To some it was just a laundry to but to others it was a place to see a friendly always smiling face, have a chat and have someone to listen. There’s was always so much to do but we would always stop and have a chat with whoever wanted it.
What a year it’s been trying her hardest to get it back to open. But here we stand exactly 1 year on and we couldn’t be any prouder of her. Well done Julie and welcome back all we can’t wait to catch up with you all. ❤️

Hello Everyone,

We know this has been such a long, frustrating and at times slow road to get back up and running, but I can announce.

🎉WE ARE FINALLY OPENING ON MONDAY 17TH APRIL 🎉

I have never been so happy to write a post all year. We can't wait to welcome you back in with open arms if you would still like to use us.

Normal service will resume from Monday, if you would like to start back with us and continue your service please contact us on 01757 707171 on Monday.

Again we just want to thank you all so much you have all been so understanding throughout this difficult time, especially as it was so sudden closing down and also being closed for such a long time. Again, thank you so so much. I will also be sharing some pictures of the damage that the fire caused and photos of the renovations on Monday.

The girls are eager to get back to work and to do what we do best , provide you a service from the heart.

From Myself (Becky), The girls in the shop (Cherly, Hannah, Dee, Justine & Mary) but especially from the main woman herself who has been through hell and back and fought tooth and nail to get to where we are now Julie.

A special shout out to Abigail McGarrity and her lovely husband Steve for all their help and support and to all of Steve’s boys for helping get us back up and running, Thank you!! 💕 And also to Iain you know him are your delivery driver to us he is dad and husband he has been in the shop day and night, coming home after work and going in to do anything he can to get us back open he truly is amazing. There’s so many more to thank but I may run out of characters haha! So a big shout out to you all!!

We just want to thank you all for all your love and support. It’s been a long long year and we are so happy we can finally say HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND AND WE WILL SEE YOU MONDAY!!
