🚧 Another Successful Drainage Installation Completed! 🚧

We've been so busy on site recently that we're only just getting around to sharing some of our completed projects. This one was completed back in April and involved the installation of a brand-new surface water drainage system after the existing drainage had failed, causing extensive damage to the property.

Following a thorough investigation, we designed and installed a completely new drainage system to protect the property for years to come.

✅ Installed a brand-new surface water drainage system.
✅ Connected all existing downpipes into the new network.
✅ Installed two concrete catch pits to allow for easy future maintenance and desilting.
✅ Connected the new system into an existing surface water drainage network previously installed by our team, which safely discharges into a nearby d**e.
✅ Installed a new MDPE water supply pipe, bedded on sand and protected with pea gravel and warning tape.
✅ All drainage pipework bedded on pea gravel to ensure longevity and compliance with best practice.
✅ Full reinstatement of all flagged areas, gravel surfaces and lawns, leaving the property looking as though we'd never been there.

🚽 New Toilet Connection Installed in Market Weighton, Yorkshire 🚽

Our team was recently called out to investigate ongoing gurgling noises and foul odours affecting a property in Market Weighton.

After assessing the issue, we found that the existing underground toilet connection, installed by another contractor, was causing problems. As the property already had an external soil stack in place, we advised bringing the new toilet connection externally to provide a more effective solution.

✅ Existing underground sewer connection permanently capped off using bagging and concrete to prevent anything entering or discharging into the redundant connection
✅ Core drilling completed
✅ New foul waste pipe installed from internal to external location
✅ Pipework capped and left ready for the plumber to connect the new downstairs WC
✅ New T-junction installed onto the existing soil stack
✅ New toilet waste connection installed
✅ Sink waste bossed into the stack

All works were completed in just a matter of hours, leaving the client with a straightforward and reliable solution ready for the next stage of the installation.

We recently carried out drainage and water supply works in preparation for a new Apple Pod installation.

Works completed included:

✅ New inspection chamber installed

✅ 25mm MDPE water supply pipe installed
✅ Water pipe bedded and surrounded with sand
✅ Warning tape installed for future protection
✅ Backfilled and compacted
✅ Full reinstatement of grassed and tarmac areas completed

We removed the tired plum slate chippings and completely transformed this property with stunning 20mm golden gravel, instantly creating a brighter, more premium finish.

✅ Old plum slate removed
✅ 20mm golden gravel installed
✅ 2 new access gullies fitted
✅ Existing flags and block paving lifted
✅ Re-laid on a solid concrete bed for maximum longevity
✅ Finished with Mushroom Pro Joint for a clean, durable finish

The previous pathway had been installed using the dot-and-dab method, which can lead to movement and failure over time. We rebbed them on concrete to ensure it stands the test of time.

Another successful project completed last week in Thorne, where our team delivered the full underground services and drainage package for a brand-new education pod.

Our works included:

✅ Excavation of service trenches
✅ Installation of a new MDPE water supply pipe ready for connection to the new education pod
✅ Water service bedded and surrounded in sand with warning tape installed for future identification and protection
✅ Installation of new underground sewer drainage system
✅ New toilet connection brought to ground level for the pod
✅ Drainage pipework bedded and surrounded with pea gravel to ensure long-term performance
✅ Installation of inspection chambers at changes of direction to provide future access for maintenance and inspection
✅ Connection of new drainage into the existing inspection chamber system
✅ Installation of electrical ducting complete with pull cord, ready for the electrician to connect the new power supply
✅ Electrical ducting bedded in sand and protected with warning tape
✅ Installation of a new stop tap complete with chamber, frame and cover to allow isolation of the pod water supply when required
✅ Additional foul drainage connection discharging directly into the septic tank
✅ Additional inspection chamber installed for future maintenance access
✅ Full reinstatement of all affected areas, including: • Concrete surfaces • Flag paving • Topsoil • Grass seeding

Another project completed in just 2 days by the DMI Draincare & Groundworks team.

The customer wanted a dedicated patio area capable of supporting a hot tub, with provisions in place for a future gazebo installation.

✅ Excavated a 3.6m x 3.6m area to 250mm depth
✅ Installed 150mm compacted hardcore sub-base
✅ Laid 2ft x 2ft paving slabs on a wet sand and cement bed
✅ Installed 4" x 4" tanalised timber posts ready for future gazebo construction
✅ Brushed kiln-dried sand into all paving joints

The result is a strong, level, and attractive outdoor space that's ready for years of enjoyment.

We recently completed a full soil stack replacement for a customer in Castleford, West Yorkshire after the existing stack became damaged and required urgent attention.

Our works included:

✔️ Excavating the ground to expose the drainage system
✔️ Installing a brand-new rest bend below ground level
✔️ Fitting a new soil stack
✔️ Reconnecting all bathroom waste pipework
✔️ Backfilling and compacting the excavation
✔️ Reinstating the concrete surface
