Chapmans wishes every one a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tomorrow is the last day of work before Christmas.
A good time to thank every single customer new and loyal for 2025.
It has been amazing the last few months. The number of chimneys we have swept has been staggering. It has been a great challenge. One i have enjoyed.
We look forward to 2026.

For almost all our posts we show you pictures of huge amounts of soot and bird nests in chimneys that we have swept.
Usually to show you some of the worst cases!
Well today here is a picture of a sweep we have done recently where the amount of soot is perfect.
This is a chimney which is well used, using the correct fuel and regularly swept!

With the weather warming up and fingers crossed going to last all summer.
The time is now to get your chimney swept.

As we approach the back end of this long winter.
We have seen a small increase in numbers. Which is always pleasing.
As ever time flys by and sometimes the need to have the chimney swept is over looked with other more pressing matters.
So a gentle reminder to all our customers as we approach the quieter period of the year that we have plenty of availabilty throughout the year. So whilst there is no panic there is no better time to have your chimney swept.

This week an urgent call to sweep a flue in a travellers horse drawn cart. A lovely practical stove.
