Common issue encountered in domestic carpet care: carpets that have been over-wet during a previous cleaning process carried out prior to inspection, often resulting in excess moisture and cleaning residue remaining within the carpet fibres.
On arrival, moisture levels were still too high for safe or effective treatment, as this environment can lead to persistent odours, mould and mildew growth, and in some cases fibre distortion or shrinkage if left unmanaged.
Once fully dry, a targeted anti-mould and odour treatment was applied to stabilise and restore the carpet condition...
A reminder that correct moisture control during cleaning is just as important as the cleaning itself, often preventing further issues and unnecessary additional cost later on.
