I worked for many years in corporate company where it was difficult to always see the immediate impact you can make.
My training business allowed me to see that - watching people embrace new skills, growing, developing.
And my fabulous wee cleaning company did that too…

That’s all I ever wanted. To make a difference. This means the world to me.

I spent a lovely few hours this morning with Sandhurst Recreation Ground Team and lovely members of the community. Splitting into groups we took care of freshening up the play park paintwork, cleaning pathways, litter picking and so on. Great chats, laughs and teamwork. A lovely few hours with lovely people.

Well, this is a bittersweet post to write…
After 14 wonderful years serving Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey, I’ve made the decision to close my cleaning services business at the end of July. It’s been a journey I’ve been incredibly proud of - always choosing quality over quantity, adapting and changing to make sure every clean felt personal and just right. And it worked, all Mother Hen customers today, domestic and commercial, have been with me since the very beginning!

It’s been such a privilege to be welcomed into so many homes. What started as a job quickly turned into something so much more; I’ve watched kids grow from little ones heading to school, to confident young adults off to Uni. I’ve seen families grow, new
babies and pets arrive, 'young ones' emigrate, adults retire - I've been alongside some of you during both challenging and beautiful moments.

Through it all, I haven’t just cleaned your homes - I’ve built friendships. You feel more like family now than customers, and I’ll never forget the laughs, the chats, and the connections we’ve shared.

But now it’s time for me to rest my mop and Hettie, hang up the rubber gloves and enjoy a slower pace at home. I’m excited (and more than little emotional!) about this next chapter.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me and trusted me over the years. I’ll be keeping this page open, so please stick around - I’ll still be sharing the odd cleaning tip or post here and there!
