End of the week and end of May

Wow what an ending that was a hard week in the heat far to hot and muggy 🥵 but we got there on the end

A couple more jobs to finish of the week

A big thank you to all lovely clients for looking after me this week you have made it more bearable for me

Next week the weather is thankfully returning to more manageable temperatures

Quick update

As lovely as this warm and sunny weather is it extremely hard to work in as a cleaner so here are some useful tips as we head into the summer 🌞

🌞 HOT WEATHER NOTICE 🌞

With the temperatures rising this week and going into the summer months it is very important to look after myself whilst providing a good service

Cleaning is physical work, with constant movement and carrying equipment. Therefore I kindly ask everyone to keep working conditions as cool and safe as possible by:

• Keeping blinds and curtains closed where possible
• Allowing windows to remain closed during the hottest parts of the day
• Please note conservatories will not be cleaned during extreme heat due to unsafe temperatures
• I will need to take small breaks in the heat and drink plenty of fluids so I might take a little longer than normal
• Please do not have any heating on during clean time, I cannot stress that enough

This has no impact on my care work as this is not a physical job and is easier to handle in hot weather

I appreciate all your help with this and I know I have a lovely bunch of clients and you will go out of your way to look after me

In extreme heat I will move some cleans around which I know my regular clients prefer me to do

Quick update

I have been busy with my training in relation to my care work with my elderly clients

I have passed numerous stages far too many to upload but I am creating a folder of all my certificates to show my clients and their families

I am specialising in Dementia and Alzheimer's care and I am also concentrating on Parkinson's which is closely related

Any questions then please do not hesitant to contact me

I am fully enjoying my new career path I find very rewarding and a fulfilling career

Hi Everyone

I have been busy over the last few weeks catching up on my spring cleaning jobs and taking my clients out when the weather has permitted

I have also enjoyed sitting and looking at my elderly clients beautiful gardens

I am taking the next May bank weekend off as I am going to be doggy sitting my son's lovely puppy Dexter as the children are breaking up.from school

i am hoping the weather starts to improve more so I can get my clients out to enjoy the sunshine

Interesting article on the BBC news today in relation to the care sector and the majority issues faced by carers and people who need care services

Two major issues stand out to me which are

Adult social care is one of the core services for many local councils in England, with a significant amount of their budgets spent on it

We've been hearing about people's experiences as part of a day of coverage across BBC Local, including a hospital governor worried about bed blocking

I personally feel with the way politics are going on at the moment that once again these issues are not being dealt with and I truly believe the issues are getting worse instead of better

Including many issues I have come across and deal with on a daily basis
