It's that time of the year. Bees are starting to make an appearance as they make use of early spring blossom and flowers. Especially bumble bees. You might soon start to spot queen wasps as they start to emerge from hibernation and start to look for a nest sight. Please think and check before calling out a pest controller like me, it's too early in the year to have a wasps nest, It is more likely to be minor or mason bees, bumbles or even honey bees. Easy to i.d. if they are bright yellow and slim, it's wasps. If fat fluffy dark orange or got pollen sacks on its rear legs it's going to be a bee. Now bees are not interested in stinging you and if you leave them alone they will not bother you. Most responsible pest control firms will not deal with bees, but we. will charge you if you call us out.. so take your time to i.d. send a photo etc. So please don't be offended if we have to drive to your home only to confirm bees.

I am getting a lot of requests of late, So just to remind people of the law, as of February you can't interfere with (ANY) birds, nests, eggs, or chicks, until they have fledged and left the nest around Sept even if it's in, on or around your own roof and soffits of your home. However I can take advanced bookings for Sept to remove nests and seal gaps if possible. Don't be tempted to instruct non qualified or bogus pest controllers to do the job, as you will face a very hefty fine. Birds nesting in your roof can cause a whole host of issues from pecking away roof felt causing damp and rot to insect infestations. So get the job done right. Call 911 Pest control.

It's the end of the festive season. Nevermind the gym classes or thinking of holidays. You need to ensure any food waste etc has been removed. Otherwise rats will move in quickly.

I see a lot of people getting recommended on FB for wasp treatments. Please always ask how much, what qualifications or memberships do you have and are they insured. Lots of people suddenly appear on FB in the wasp season trying to make a quick buck, randomly spraying potential cheap toxic powders around your home.

Another large bee rescue. (3 in 3 weeks) Several weeks of planning. Involving 911 Pest Control and Simon Rayburn bee keeper. This hive was well established and proved very challenging. Also big thanks to the scaffolding firm Safety first, and Andy my brother in law for reinstating the bricks. Good team effort. Bee colony now hopefully settled in a safe new home

Pest control glue boards. Should be band from general sale to the public. Just found 2 baby bats stuck to a board on a routine wasp job. Thankfully I got them off the board and took them to Stapley wild life hospital. They have text me to say they have cleaned away the glue and fed and hopefully they will survive and go back in the wild.

That was a long hot day. Re applying woodworm treatment in a very large 18 century house with oak beams. Followed it up with a top up of fresh loft lagging insulation. Six hours later we were totally drained.

Me and Ashlea spent the day re-proofing solar panels, previously some one had just stuck bird spikes under and they were looking tatty and falling out, finally letting a squirrel 🐿️ under which would potentially damage the wires and cause a fire. Now the panels are clean along with a roof scrape we re proofed with solar mesh and clips. 911 Pest Control.

A missing manhole cover, letting rats out of the drain in a garden. They instinctively know to dig and find that they can get in under the foundations of a house then into a kitchen to feed. Killing the rats is not the priority it's finding the routes. 911 fitted a new man hole cover then digging down we could locate the gap the rats used and sealed the hole.
