Thank you PestTech 2025, it was definitely worth the 3.5 hour drive. The biggest pest convention in the UK did not disappoint. The cut of freshly prepared venison at the end of the day made me realise I need to start visiting a game butcher instead of Aldi’s fridges 🤤👌

Rodent proofing ✅ ✅

Another happy customer yesterday after the completion of some mesh proofing near the rear door. Due to the poor building structure and a LOT of expanding foam, rats were able to chew through the side of the door and access the entire property. Now after all proofing works completed and a thorough pest treatment nearly complete, this happy customer can return to a rat free home.

Some before and afters from the weekend, where we have proofed around a customers guinea pig/rabbit shed, unfortunately this was after a number of their beloved pets fell victim to a local family of mink 😔 on a very positive note though, this customer can now return their small pets home safely, in the knowledge that they are protected from predators burrowing underneath the enclosure. I think we can all agree that behind a kitchen unit is not the best place for a water feature! Unfortunately for a recent customer, internal rat activity was ultimately the cause of this costly and stressful damage. After gaining access to the back of the kitchen units via a missing piece of brickwork and a large gap around a pipe exit, the rodent in question continued to quench its thirst via gnawing multiple holes into a plastic water pipe supplying the sink!Fortunately, due to a thorough inspection, this damage was quickly identified, the water turned off and repaired shortly after. The culprit has since been caught and the property is now pest free, to the relief of the customer! Did you know rats can drink up to 60ml of water per day and have a bite force of up to 6000psi. Relative to its size, they have one of the strongest bite forces in the world!

A visit to a gentleman’s property last week proved to be impossible to directly treat a rodent infestation. On my return today, access was kindly granted after an inspection hatch was fitted. A customer who works with you and follows every recommendation you provide is invaluable in this game, helping rid the customer of their unwanted guests, as well as enabling the pest controller to complete their job to the best of their ability 👌
