Job Vacancy - Shop Assistant

SAFFRON LAUNDRY requires a shop assistant to work primarily in its Cambridge (CB1) branch but also, on occasion the Saffron Walden Shop.

The hours are approximately 32 per week, including some Saturday mornings. Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be helpful but full training will be provided.

Main duties will include serving customers who are depositing/collecting laundry and dry cleaning, operating an EPOS system and taking payments, carrying out the end-of-day reconciliation of the till, and generally helping to maintain a clean, tidy and smooth-running shop.

The successful applicant, who will be an organised, methodical person with excellent communication skills, will be happy working alone as well as with colleagues.

Starting rate: £9.60 per hour

Job Vacancy

We are looking for someone to fill a full-time position in our laundry production department at our Gold Street factory in Saffron Walden. This position would include the following duties:

Folding washed workwear, shirts & hotel towels. Part of the day also would include working in a team to process tea towels, pillowcases, and napkins through a finishing machine.

Our full-time hours are Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.15pm, on a Friday 7.45am to 3.15pm. We would also consider anyone who would like part time hours to job share. We will give full training for this position.

Washing Machine Operator

We are looking to fill a full-time post with someone to work in our washing department, at our Gold Street factory, Saffron Walden.

Duties to include loading/unloading washing machines and tumble driers.
Meeting the daily targets of washing needed by production.

There is some heavy lifting and moving full cages/trolleys from one area to another within the factory.

Our hours of work are:
7:45 to 4:15 pm Monday to Thursday
7:45 to 3:15 pm Friday

Starting rate £11:22 per hour
