Honestly, the cheek of it! 🤣

I'm Emma from Time For You, covering Milton Keynes, Rugby and South Northants, and apparently my biggest crime is helping people spend less time cleaning and more time enjoying life!

Log burners are beautiful additions to any home... but they can get sooty very fast! 🔥
Here are a few tips on how to keep yours looking its best, just in time for those cosy autumn evenings:
🧹 Wipe away dust regularly
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust from the outside of your log burner and keep it looking tidy.
🪟 Keep the glass sparkling
Once the glass is completely cool, use a specialist stove glass cleaner to remove soot and cloudy marks. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
🪵 Give the exterior some TLC
Use a soft brush or cloth to remove loose ash and dust from the stove's exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges that could damage the finish.
🧺 Don't forget the surrounding area
Ash, soot and bits of wood can quickly make a mess of the hearth and nearby flooring. Vacuum or sweep regularly, and wipe down surrounding surfaces to keep everything looking fresh.
⚠️ Safety first!
Always let your log burner cool completely before cleaning, and leave chimney sweeping and internal stove maintenance to the professionals.
A little regular upkeep goes a long way towards keeping your home clean, cosy and ready for autumn! 🍂
